The shop’s origins trace back to 1928, when Émile Dupont, a young French immigrant with a passion for cheese, arrived in the bustling city with little more than a rucksack and his family’s century-old recipes. The small shop quickly gained a reputation among gourmands for its exquisite selection and personalised service. Today the shop is run by Ashton a trained cheesemonger who has introduced modern tpuches such as pairing workshops and collaborating with local chefs.
